libdmtx-utils software package provides Utilities for reading and writing Data Matrix 2D barcodes, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdmtx-utils
libdmtx-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdmtx-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdmtx-utils *
You will get with libdmtx-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
